About Onigoyles:
Onigoyles were once believed to be stone guardians built as symbols of protection and purity. They were built to guard properties and ward off evil spirits. Legend has it that one day a very special Onigoyle came to life and its feline appearance became fluffy and warm, every part of its body turned into living tissue except of course its wings. The wings that usually remain tucked on the back stayed hard as stone yet became flexible, they can not be used for flight but instead can be used as shields for protection. All living Onigoyles are ancestors of the one mythical onigoyle and though they appear to be brutes they are actually very loving and caring creatures. Though if something they love is threatened they will attack with their retractable large clawed paws and talon-like hindquarters. Their unique talons can be used to grasp to any surface, allowing them to climb and perch themselves in the most unusual places. Sometimes when they are very still they can be mistaken for a stone gargoyle. This is because their body temperature can actually cool back into stone, though this is only temporary. Today Onigoyles are used as companions.
